We rated the idol portion of those women in the j-pop thread though I'm up for a redo at some point in the future with more participants but some other women from that era will be coming soon

@Ace Reject i know we've kinda talked about this a bit in the past without anything coming of it, but it's kinda time to actually do something for Dolly.

A full discography rate is impossible given the overwhelming abundance of material and a singles rate wouldn't fully capture the range and greatness of her catalog, so my proposal would be a rate of 150 songs selected from across her albums, a mix of singles and deep cuts. Where it gets sticky is… Do we focus solely on her individual material, or do we include the Trio and Porter Wagoner stuff too? Maybe just 10-15 songs total from the collab work?

I wouldn't be ready to launch it just yet; even as a stan, there are still what feels like dozens of albums I haven't heard yet (and that's without accounting for thirteen ******* Porter Wagoner collab albums) and I really do want to listen to them all to make sure nothing gets overlooked in compiling a song list for a rate. But I'd like to do it sometime in the coming months.

@Suilen what do you think of Speed for the Japanese Spice Girls spot? They fit the criteria perfectly (a bit too perfectly tbh), problem is... we'd lose Perfume for a group that probably won't fare very well on the rate based on what I've checked so far.

I actually think it's a good choice, they have 3 albums among the best-selling ones of all time, and their songs aren't too idol-ish, so it could work. Yeah, Perfume would fare better, but SPEED definitely feel more like Spice Girls.
