Favorite National Parks?

Featured Replies

For those of you nature lovers (who occasionally touch grass after scrolling stan Twitter) what are some of your favorite national parks that you've visited? As an American, we have quite a few iconic ones (like Yellowstone, the first NP ever) but unfortunately I wasn't all that into hiking when I lived on the west coast, so I'm a bit removed from those bigger parks. I will say however that Acadia NP was quite special, especially since I usually don't visit the ocean (not my photo, but this is the summit)

Cuyahoga Valley in Ohio isn't grandiose, but I liked walking the trails. The Brandywine Falls are beautiful.

I haven't been to many! But this one is local to me and gorgeous! My dream is to go to Monument Valley!!

Miles of sand beach, bluffs that tower 450' above Lake Michigan, lush forests, clear inland lakes, unique flora and fauna make up the natural world of Sleeping Bear Dunes. High dunes afford spectacula

Not sure if it's the same place but I feel like I've seen videos of people trying to walk up the dunes

Loved Brandywine and the boardwalk. I like the story behind Cuyahoga, even though it gets a lot of flack for being a NP, it's an important reminder of restoration.

ALL OF THEM (except gateway arch "national park" because wtf)

The way New England has all but one park but freaking Gateway Arch gets to be one… khalyan2

I loved going to the Redwood National Parks in California. We wanted to hike to Hyperion but didn't end up doing it. We spent a few days going to different areas to see different tree species. I'd like to go again before the whole state of California burns down.

Need to make a trip to CA for the parks too redface I'd need a whole month to do them justice

Now I know my least favorite is the one where that guy turned into gas.

If you're adventurous, definitely try going to Hyperion. It's the biggest tree in the world. It's illegal though and you could get fined thousands of dollars. The location is "secret" but you can find maps online lol.

Not sure if it is a national park , but I used to go to this all the time and it's just even prettier in person. Massive park /Woods and bushwalks on the other side too.

@Element let is know how your trip goes! I regret not doing atleast the Beehive when I went

I currently live in Mexico so I'd have to go for Los Dinamos National Park.

Just on the southwestern edge of Mexico City proper.
