Do you practice no screen time before going to sleep?

Featured Replies

Science says that if you stop looking at screens before going to sleep, you will experience deeper, more energizing sleep and wake up more refreshed. Putting away the screens as little as 30 minutes before bedtime already has a positive effect on alertness, reaction time and sleep quality on the next day.

Do you have experiences with this?

    after my goon sesh yes

I don't use my phone however I do have the tv on in the background because I can't sleep in total silence.

I try yeah, usually half an hour

I also don't charge my phone by my bed so it isn't the first thing I look at when I wake up, I'd ideally want to extend it to an hour before and after waking up but for now 15-30 minutes will do

I try to, especially during week days. My phone at least blocks off any social media apps at 10pm, so when I'm on my phone after that, it's just to set an alarm or watch a video or something. No more scrolling.

No phone 1 hour before going to bed and no phone for 1 hour after I wake up. Best thing you can do.

No and I sleep just fine. I was mostly worried about my eyes getting damaged but my eye doctor said my eyes are healthy and couple months ago. michael

No, I'm typically always texting someone as I'm getting into bed and falling asleep. I'm the type that can fall asleep within minutes of getting into bed, always on my phone beforehand.

No, but I should be. I really want to end the day reading a book or something but I get way too distracted and check my phone instead.

Afraid I can't

Does screen time count as TV too? I have to watch something before I go to sleep or scroll Hyunjin or suga content an hour before I sleep

But I've had bad insomnia even before smart phones were a thing. I remember being 7 or 8 and be tossing And turning then get annoyed and play with my toys till 3am
