It's very interesting to me that the version of her most people have crystallized in their minds is the one from 2018-2020. Those years + early, early Victorious days are the only times in her career where she's been fuller. She has literally been skinny for the majority of the time the masses have known her (never this thin though, obviously) Personally speaking, I was always confused by the conversation gaining the momentum it did in 2023/24 because she was a similar size she was during Yours Truly & Dangerous Woman… she was just pale. I know people are retroactively saying that it wasn't okay for her to be that small back then either (which I don't feel I have a right to speak to). It's just crazy to me that the version of Ariana that's upheld in the public's eyes really only existed for a two/three year period of her decade plus career

I'm mostly happy about the break because she truly deserves it. Literally every exciting/happy moment in her career she's had in the past three years has been ruined by the public. It's really unfair and a lot for one person to take I hate that she feels the need to retread from public consumption but I do think it's best for her long-term
