I don't think the album is that bad... for a Tyla album. You were expecting way too much.

Is It and Chanel were good singles and there's a couple of other good songs left on the album.

Is It Love should've never been a single.

lol the irony of a Rihanna stan to be talking about albums when people only started taking Rihanna seriously with Anti. Both Tyla's debut and sophomore are leaps and bounds ahead of 80% of Rihanna's albums- which don't have universal acclaim. Don't you have a panty or lipstick to purchase instead of being worried about Tyla's fate( and she's doing just fine btw). Go stream lift me up and friend of mine

Oh someone's angry and it doesn't change the fact that A-Poop stinks. The numbers aren't even out yet and you're already throwing the stale panties and lift me up lines. Buckle UP because the way I'm about to take a spin on your wig when the numbers drop. Don't think we forgot that **** you pulled during the Met

Spotify Global Artists: #138 (Re-entry)

not that good tbh..

Kind of a step down from self titled, but still enjoyable. Really wish all the best for her and hope she has more projects.

When TYLA came out she was at #123 on the Global Artist chart so it did less

This could of been the album cover too. I think people needed a big switch into pop/urban energetic pop from her. South Africa cant carry her career alone

You sound so stupid rip

Rihanna's fans are doing the same thing to her that Beyoncé's fans did to Rihanna in 2006

TBF, I think the album cover makes more sense listening to the album as a whole. The album is very mellow and the sepia tone captures that and the hot pink adds a splash of energy in the way songs like Kiss and Is It does

FAIRYTALE is literally so cute, that's probably the one I'll keep coming back to

Oh shut it. None of us ever went after Tyla (a good deal of us wanted her to do well and defended her on here actually) until her stans started attacking Rihanna after the Met. @Sex with Rih (ironic given the username) being among them.

Tyla isn't as successful as Rihanna was in 2006 for us to feel threatened by her as the hive was with Rih.

If you were a real Rihanna fan, you'd know it's never really about high debut numbers but rather consistency. Her debut album debuted with 7,3M and went on to amass over 3B streams. Even Anti debuted with 11Mrip

This has actually got me worried for N2 deadbanana4 Normani's sophomore won't stand a chance

lol Rihanna wasn't causing a pandemonium in 2006 hunny, she was just there. Tyla is more culturally relevant and more critically acclaimed, better performer and more respected as an artist than Rihanna ever was back in 2006. Like I said, no one took her seriously as an artist until Anti. Thank you for listening to Tyla's album though

Well Tyla has been consistently FLOPPING. How many top ten songs has she had since Water? Despite the dozens she released?

Rihann in 2006 had a number one hit and three top ten hits under her belt and was billboards female artist of the year. That was all less than a year into her career. What does Tyla have seven years into her career other than a semi-viral TikTok dance?

Can y'all fight while listening to the album? We need more successful Black female artists

Nope

It's not even fair to compare Rihanna to Tyla at this point, Roc Nation basically has an A&R department dedicated to her

Meanwhile, Tyla is trying to build an era with Epic's $20 budget, made her debut album with niche producers while she's relying on luck and Tik Tok trends

Rihanna wasn't signed onto Roc Nation until 2013. She's only released one album (Anti) while on there and they botched its release by leaking it before it was supposed to come out.

Tyla has literally has several people from both Rih's management (Ciarra), and glam (Yusef and co) who she works with. Epic Records is an established label with plenty of legends who they represented from Michael Jackson to Sade to Abba and the list goes on. Roc Nation only has Rihanna as a major worldwide act on their roster. The fact that you think Roc Nation has more resources than Epic is hilarious.

Tyla is flopping because she has duds for songs, not because of her label.
