they did say uk dates were in the works. to me touring is essential for every new artist especially nowadays. if she doesn't tour that would be so dumb. theatres, please.

I listened to the album and it's got some good songs but mostly sounds boring to me and if I was her I would have added in much more pop as it's very r&b based and mid tempo - the title is A-POP. I would have mixed in brighter sounds and more hooks. as for the promo for the album, I don't think it was too strong, and I also think she could interact more online and show her followers her personality more because it really helps people connect to an artist.

Yall realise that if this album flops. That she wont get the opportunity to do a full scale release with proper promo again? She will literally get shelved.

They've spent too much on her for these kind of bad numbers

Uh no. If she cant pull the numbers that her peers are and if she cant re-coup the money they've spent on her, they will spend LESS and she will get even LESS of a push.

Thats why she needs a global hit song. She has none atm and her album isnt debuting in the top 20, possibly even the top 30 at this point

Okay that's great news and honestly I wasn't sure if she discussed it publicly or not! I definitely would understand them having minimal confidence in an entire headlining world tour, but she has to do SOMETHING. Maybe just opening act for an A-Lister's tour in the US is still good enough. I don't know if she can sell theaters in America yet.

And that in itself is a bad sign imo. How do you fear or fail to invest in an already viral song? It's like they just wanted to use CHANEL to make money strictly. Not to market her more.

After watching multiple interviews, it's pretty obvious Tyla made this album for the people who like Tyla and enjoy what she's about. She said has no deep meaning for the album and just wanted to make an album to make people feel good about themselves. Love that

They don't hear you for real. I understand being a casual listener and not gaf about numbers 100% but the truth is she's in a business and bound to a contract. Y'all may not gaf but I'm sure she does and her label/team. Costing too much and earning little to nothing will obviously get you pushed down the priority list. That means longer waits in between albums, NO performances, tours, big budget vids, finely mastered recordings, etc. The things y'all actually DO care about????

Why doesn't she just tour in smaller venues? Everyone has to start somewhere.

The dramatics in here. She just needs better producers/writing camps, a better team, and to keep building her fanbase.

The girl is talented, can perform well live, and she's gorgeous. She's also only 24.. plenty of time to develop as an artist and performer.

Also CHANEL not being a hit now because it hasn't reached 500m streams...

That means that nothing is working and shes locked into a contract so we wont be getting half of what you just suggested any time soon.

Yeah, people don't realize how dire things could get if things don't turn around for her in the next year or so. As others have said, the smartest thing to do would be to book as many headline shows as she can the next 6-9 months.

Very worrying that there aren't concrete plans to tour now that she has 2 albums worth of solo material…
