I've actually used it to teach clients about consent and coercion when I facilitated treatment for people who had perpetrated sexual offenses. I would play the original version and then the Buble remake and ask them to compare.

Oddly enough, this made me remember that Blurred Lines is kind of what sparked the conversation about BICO. While I do believe that the song (BICO) wasnt written with malicious intent, times change and societal norms along with it.

The top comment gives some background on the song and apparently it's supposed to be meta, Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote it about their babysitter that was in an abusive relationship and how she was blinded by it, thinking he was doing the abusive stuff ~out of love~. But I guess it wasn't as easy to get information across in that time
