I feel like her team isn't even trying.

Chanel could have been one of the biggest hits of the year and right now it's out of the top 70 on Spotify.

Her songs are everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Like her, you feel like she's there but not really there… you don't see her promoting her music or her persona like the artists who were "starving" for fame used to do.

What's happening with her? They're wasting her potential sometimes I think she's being intentionally sabotaged

I get dragged for this but tyla has become very lazy in my eyes. She thinks she can let it ride out by itself.

She needs to promote promote promote. Do ur own productions of a performance of the song, go everywhere and perform it.

She is annoying me because chanel should be top 20 on billboard by now

Guys, she has ONE album out Give her time to develop herself. IMO she's gonna take about 3 albums before she really breaks through with a GGGB Era, and an Umbrella sized crossover hit.

Chanel was an instant smash in this household. Didn't know it was already out of the top 70. Epic continues to fumble.

By which time she's gonna be 30 aka the age Rih retired. We need to stop comparing them, Tyla is following a different path it seems.

Replace "TikTok" with Twitter and this could be about Tinashe 12 years ago.

I remember when a song was performed 5+ times if it showed potential of being a hit/was a hit

Channel is still her second biggest hit to date, so I don't think there is anything's to worry about. She's constantly releasing quality bops and now another one has turned into a huge streaming hit for her.

She should focus on working on her sophomore record or release another EP, though. She and her team should definitely keep the momentum going.

She needs to say something really random and controversial so she gets more personality. Her brand is extremely faceless and underdeveloped and her image and music suffer a lot from that

Chanel was the perfect song to become a huge hit organically. The fact that it failed to do so is probably the reason her label didn't bother investing more into it. She's still a new artist, and her label isn't going to invest massively in her like they did with new artists in the 2000's and early 2010's.

Chanel is garbage and they are trying to push her as a western pop girlie when shes not that, at all. Her debut was great, I don't know why they shifted to using old Rihanna demos for her new stuff.

The song is close to 300 million streams, which is more than great, especially for her commercial standards and considering it was just released a few months ago.

I'm sorry but how can you say Tyla is lazy?? In the past year girlie did an Asia tour promoting Chanel, did Global Citizen, Coachella, performed on Jimmy Fallon, constantly promoting on social media, did magazine covers and interviews, doing brand deals with Nike, Pandora and H&M. Chanel took off globally during peak holiday season and she was promoting all the time like what do yall expect from her lol. She is signed to Epic who are known to be a mess but Tyla herself has not stopped grinding since Water took off.

Aquarius and Tyla's album are not even remotely in the same league in terms of quality and Tinashe is an actually talented songwriter and musician, not to mention her dancing

The promo is fine. Chanel is just not more than a cute TikTok audio bop. Everything she releases gets attention and decent debuts meaning that all she needs to become massive is the right song.
