I love them SO much, they were on my top 5 most listened artists last year, I already know TATC and HaterBooth by heart and I want them to win. With that said that performance was rough and it wasn't just the sound, the deadpan expressions from all 3 of them throughout almost the entire performance and the choreo feeling like they're just going through the motions... I'm not sure they're this type of performers, and that's okay. They're definitely in their bag when they're doing acoustic performances, their Tiny Desk episode is genuinely one of the best things I've seen in years, so this does feel a little pcd cosplay because their real strengths are definitely in their vocals/harmonies instead of something like this and imo they do shine the most in the R&B space. I can even tell they enjoy doing that more, but I'm open to them changing my mind and I'm sure they'll just get better I'm just not fully sold on this version of them as performers
