The current price is $11.99 a month for a single user, but it will become $12.99 next month, Spotify announced on its blog, adding, “Occasional updates to pricing across our markets reflect the value that Spotify delivers, enabling us to continue offering the best possible experience and benefit artists.”

For Duo accounts, it will go from $16.99 to $18.99 a month. Family plans will go from $19.99 a month to $21.99, while student subscriptions will go from $5.99 to $6.99, Variety reported.

The price affects premium subscribers not only in the U.S. but also in Estonia and Latvia.

Apple Music is superior. I tried getting back on Spotify and got bored. ONLY THING is that some artists put songs on Spotify and they aren't on Apple Music and that's really annoying.

  • I can think of several you don't really need on there. McAfee, really? (Several free anti viruses are sufficient) Microsoft 365? Do people really need that when free alternatives exist? and you are d

So a stream will be $00000.49 instead of $00000.39 now?

also, just in case, anyone who has youtube premium gets youtube music for free. pretty decent service.

honestly these music streaming services are really cheap considering all they offer skull

The subscription model is insane... I'm paying like 200€ per month for all the things I am subscribed to:

AppleTV+
Paramount*
Disney+
McAffee
Microsoft Word 365
Prime
RTL+
ARD+
Spotify
YT Premium
Netflix
MGM+
Audible
Amazon Music Unlimited
Sky
Magenta TV
etc...

Not me being annoyed with just Spotify and Netflix. and now due to Heated Rivalry I got Crave. But I just paid for the 1st month and already cancelled it's ass. I'll have just enough time to catch up on RPDR and Canada's Drag race chick1

Please do not spread this narrative. In an increasingly subscription driver world we will get to the point where we will literally need a subscription to keep living. It's like that Blackmirror episode.

If you buy a $30 gift card at the store, it gives you 3 full months. Save yourself $3/mo, $36/yr. At this rate, that's saving yourself a 3mo subscription per year.

Microsoft 365? u-FZy6AK.png Do people really need that when free alternatives exist?

and you are doubling up on multiple music services. You pay as much as my parents do for cable TV pretty much. But it's not my life. I'm just making an observation that you could surely get rid of some.

Or learn how to pirate some Aq3mu1b.png

Spotify's UX/UI and curated content are miles better than Apple Music, but Spotify is so corrupted, I was briefly tempted to go back, but I'm not going back if they are increasing the monthly fee

1000+ albums and 100s+ of podcasts and audiobooks is still crazy for 12 a month espcially since they dont even make a profit skull

Unsubscribe! I only pay for Microsoft and Spotify and even that's too much

I'm not affected by these increases, but we shouldn't have to pay all that for them to end up keeping the money to themselves and not paying the struggling artists. Big artists don't live from Spotify money anyway so no reason to increase it!

All alternatives are ****. Tell me one better than Microsoft 365 so that I can unsubscribe.

Tbh the Microsoft is the one that makes sense. The multiple video streaming platforms seem a bit unnecessary

You could also find the audio books online for free
