There was a time when a song debuted lower and then as people discovered it and bought it and stuff that it would rise slowly/medium then peak, then descend. Now if it doesn't have a desirable peak in week #1 then the "OH NOZ ARTIST IS FLOPPING! MOVE ON TO THE NEXT SINGLE NOW!" discussions happen and labels then decide to not fund/support the single/album. It's so stupid.
