i'm surprised you disliked dave's voice. which album did you listen to? if you tried some of the earlier stuff, that maybe a reason why. maybe you should give a shot to either black celebration, violator, or songs of faith and devotion

She's clever lyrically and melodically, that's what sets her apart from the run-of-the-mill pop music on the radio.

I don't think anyone thinks of her as seriously "interesting", but she certainly has more going for her than Sabrina.

Olivia has a dedicated fanbase, successful albums in terms of pushing pure sale units, and of course she's a streaming juggernaut.

Her aesthetic and brand sonically fills a certain niche in the field, whereas something like Espresso could've been sung by just about anyone.

Sabrina had what, 6 (?!?) releases before she eventually broke through, ironically her first taste of mainstream awareness was her being the blonde girl in drivers license.

I'm not saying Sabrina hasn't built a house, but Olivia's foundation is bigger and stronger.

Olivia feels much more pedestrian than Sabrina, and Sabrina has much more personality imo, and her modern pinup schtick is much more entertaining than Olivia's middle school diary vibes.
