B2B was a big era. Y'all put too much emphasis on CM without understanding the market. 2006 saw album sales crater, streams were in the dumpster and smash digital singles were selling 3M globally. Yes, B2B's catalog stats on streaming are terrible because Christina never successfully transitioned to the streaming era, but it was undeniably a hit in its time.

I would say she has 3 big eras (with Back to Basics) but it's hard to have tons of hit albums when you sometimes have 4-5 year gap between them. On the other hand Legend X was a hitmaker from 1999 to 2014, which shows she had longevity

She never cared to build a fanbase. Hes first three albums sound different from each other and bc of that she didn't create a unique sound for her which is her biggest issue nowdays. Back in the day she had radio to help her to get a hit like Beautiful or Aint no other man but after that without radio, no big fanbase, no unique sound and plenty of new artists people forget about her.

And what's Back To Basics, that album sold as much as other "smash eras" like Circus and The Best Damn Thing with a much higher price and with only 3 singles.

No matter how you try to twist this, she already left her mark on the industry.

Her success didn't last long like Katy Perry, Cyndi Lauper, Paula Abdul. Not everyone is meant to have a long career, at least she had her moment

I can't believe how low B2Bs number is. 6M definitely not a hit. But back than, it was okay. She still had hypes and she did a successful tour out of it. The best damn thing number is way over 11M nowadays, back than, these two albums are similarly successful (TBDT is always more successful from the start).

Well, in Germany she has no album at 500k. Not one. (and during her time, Germany often ranked #3 in the world).

She only has 1 mid-album here. (Also UK = / = Europe).
