Yeah I can remember her streams being very low some years ago, it's doing better

yes. I remember her numbers before 2023/2024 and they were tragic. after she's signed to Warner again it started to get better. there's still a lot to do.

Not just since September but since rejoining in general. Her playlist reach before was sitting at only 500M, it's grown steadily every month and is now at 1.02B.

These are the most streamed pre internet / personal computer chicks. With all them hot dance tracks, I assume and predict that Madonna will surpass Mariah on New Year's Eve. In the last few years, Hung Up alone was edging on the 1 million on that day.

**Why the cut at 1995? Because the internet and personal computer broke through to the GP in 1996... so if we want to know who the pre-digital era girls are, it's these. If you think that 1999 would be suited better bc Napster went online... be my guest and amend the list. However, someone who was new in 1999 enjoyed bigger success in the digital era anyway... so.

playlist I guess. and celebration tour had a huge toll on improving her catalog streams.

2023 Madonna had 3,5m daily on her best day. Now, she gets to 5,1-5,2m on her best day of the week (usually Fridays).

Even more interesting than the peak, is the lows. In 2025 Madonna rarely (I don't recall even once) dropped below 3,5m daily (usually the worst day is Sunday).

So, the baseline has gotten VERY much better and that is even more important bc peaks often fickle depending on new releases, but the fact that he worst day of the week is bigger now than her best day 2 years ago is truly a sign of big improvements.

Yes, I am perplexed by Vogue in particular. It's one of her most iconic songs and videos, yet its Spotify and YouTube streams are relatively underwhelming...

Those are good streaming numbers. Her discography deserves it.

Well, this isn't hard to do. Janet hasn't handled her legacy very well so her streams are the pits. She should be going head to head with Madonna, her discography is amazing.
