She went there in 2014, it's in the past. People shouldn't be held personally responsible for the actions of their government anyway, especially when they're literally attending a Gaga concert, which already implies with a decent confidence a much more progressive worldview than the usual.

The zionist narrative has been gaining traction on social media for a while now. I've seen many tweets with a lot of engagement claiming that Gaga is a Zionist, one posted during the Grammys reached around 100k likes. The same kind of comments are all over TikTok too. Her team should address this as soon as possible, as it's clearly affecting her public image in some degree. Overall, her image with the GP is in a great place, the Super Bowl helped a lot. It was already strong, but it gave her another boost. Still, a significant number of people are pulling away because of this. I've even seen people I follow on Instagram sharing stories with images linking her to the pro-Israel movement. the conversation has become too widespread and visible. Obviously, we know she does not support cruelty of any kind, but it would help if she made that clear in some way, given how loud this discourse has become online.

Maybe I'm crazy, but how on earth would it be a good look for her to suddenly come out in 2026 (after EVERYTHING has happened during 2024/25) as "anti-Zionist" (??) just because it's gaining traction rn and affecting her "image"? I'm not equating the two situations, but this is where it becomes incredibly difficult for public figures that aren't actually involved in political decision-making or, candidly, aren't well-educated on the topics. There becomes an image that they cherry pick and only care about certain people, hence why their PR teams will advise them to say nothing. There's also a big chance they say the "wrong thing," simply because it's not a sphere they regularly study and engage in.

Just something to consider. (As a comms person myself that advises executives on when to weigh in on various topics.)
