she won the two awards i predicted and wanted her to win the most. the GF categories were already obviously locked for other acts, although SOTY felt like a curveball cuz i rly thought that would go to Luther.

her two wins lament her as the pop voters top choice, and we can confidently expect her to keep sweeping the pop categories each award season when nominated. GF will prob happen in the future, but don't get weirdly upset about losing against cultural behemoths. MAYHEM is acclaimed, awarded and set her on a creative path we all thought was long gone if you were a stan during the dark ages of 2014-2021

Anyway, focusing on the positive, that performance kinda cemented to me that her next album will be her Magnum Opus. Like sis is inspired inspired. And as a fan that's better than any award.

As I recall, Whenever someone wins AOTY over Bey, there's always a new article or publication the next day pushing the narrative that she deserved to win or should have won. It happened when Adele, Beck, Harry won AOTY. Gaga team wouldn't know that.

Bad Bunny is a worthy winner btw I'm bothered by Gaga always being snubbed in the general field but it's not about winners not deserving it. It's about pop voters never getting behind her the way they have gotten behind people like Taylor or Sabrina. She never got that kind of recognition when she was dominating the charts and she's not getting it now she's releasing acclaimed music that's still doing great commercially too.

I truly wish Gaga had beyonce level PR machine behind her. But sometimes I feel Gaga is just too nice to do that. Maybe Michael can pay for a variety or rolling stone article right now to be written up for tomorrow how Gaga truly deserves a GF win and it's time. I love how mother is so humble but sometimes I do believe she is too humble. We need Michael to do the dirty work for her.

The performance was amazing, the way it's shot, the lighting and the entire concept. You can also tell they came up with this so they could start production even if Gaga wasn't physically there as all Gaga had to do was to learn the camera positionings for very specific shots.

I think I would have preferred if she did Perfect Celebrity instead, but it was just a great performance so I'm not mad.

I just rewatched the performance twice because I watched it first right after I opened my eyes. The production is insane, I do think this is just a reimagined production, not necessarily a tease of what she's been working on, but if it eventually becomes this, no one's safe. What would the genre of this performance be? Industrial pop?

Last night alone, there were many liddos who had already won or were having their big moment:
1. Laufey (won over Gaga)
2. Bad Bunny (won over Gaga)
3. Addison Rae (nominated + performed)
4. Megan KATSEYE (nominated + performed)
5. Doechii (won)

Okay upon rewatch I really like the Grammys performance. It didn't click with me the first time, but my stream cut out right as it started and by the time I got it back it was in the middle of the performance. Either way, I'm excited to see what she does next.

Just one last vent: it irks me to see Gaga getting shut out of biggest winners of night lists by artists who had nonexistent campaigns while she worked her ass off the entire year to create iconic pop culture moments and performances. I just really wanted Gaga to at least be one of the major winners to top off the amazing year she's had, but putting things in perspective it's great that she's still up for and winning Grammys so far into her career.

This has always been the problem with her image. I thought MAYHEM fixed it, but clearly her PR team still needs to do better. Gaga is always considered "great" but never "great enough", while others do the bare minimum or put out genuinely tragic music and performances and still get showered with love and awards. It's honestly maddening. MAYHEM's reviews show it too, for other artists they'll hand out 10/10s, but for her it's always an 8 or a 7.5 lol
