A film is something that I'll watch only once, maybe twice, while I can enjoy the same album for months, even years.

Sure awards season for films is nice with all the red carpet looks and awards, but that's not even always guaranteed.

I was really into her film career with ASIB & Gucci, those were fun, but I feel soured about things after Turd Phillips' bomb tbh. I think if she had a good role I'd be into the concept again. I just worry she'll appear in dreary "gritty' projects & roles, or worse, generic stuff. I just know Disney tried to get her for Mother Gothel after ScarJo backed out, and I don't want that for her. (It's why I'm glad the whole Wicked thing didn't work out). She has this big movie star presence onscreen, and I feel she'd be served so much by appearing in films by people who could use her strengths properly instead of shrinking away from them, like maximalist directors in the vein of Anna Biller, Todd Haynes, or Ti West who know how to go big, and go all in on utilizing the actor's charisma.

Agree. More film is fine, but stop the box office and awards bait roles. Just do something that showcases her talent and have fun, even if lower budget and more niche.
