Let me preface this by saying: I'm totally okay with her taking her time and living life. I'm also really grateful for Mayhem era, it's one of the best pop eras this century. But when she's feeling at the top of her game, she moves fast. And the kind of physical and mental issues as creative roadblocks that plagued her for years are in the rear view mirror. She's in a great place in her life.

We need to be a little more realistic. Katy had one of the biggest bombs in the history of music two years ago, she's allegedly prepping to release a new album this year. Ariana released ES that same year, she's releasing a new album 2 months from now after squeezing in two parts of Wicked filming since.

There's nothing stopping Gaga when she's feeling driven, don't underestimate her. For the newer fans, you'd be shocked at how quickly she can churn a masterpiece out. Yes I know she's 40 now and has a husband so priorities are different etc but there's really no evidence that she's going to wait another 4 years to put out an album.

One of those people listed hasn't had a real new hit since Obama was president, and the other looks like they should be getting serious help away from the public. I'm not sure these were the best examples.

A better example is Beyonce and Taylor Swift (her actual peers) releasing albums every two years. They know the dangers of waiting over 3-5 years between albums in the 2020s since it can steer them into "legacy artist" territory. People move on fast and record labels are pressuring artists more and more to tour. I have no doubt Interscope will bank on her 20th anniversary in 2028.
