I ranked 5081 out of all listeners with 27,000 minutes.... I really had Mayhem on repeat this year bloo

So rolling stone ranked MAYHEM as their 2nd best album of the year yet only gave it an 80 for Metacritic meanwhile they gave the life of a chop hoe a 100 and its at #15? how does that even make any sense.. biblio

top 5 for wrapped all gaga with abra on top and disease on the bottom

I think it's probably the whole staff who do these lists. RS is very Swiftie in general but some of their reviewers are ridiculous and they are usually the ones reviewing Taylor's albums. This shows the publication does actually think Mayhem is better overall. Gaga always seems to get shafted by reviews that are harsher than overall consensus.

the mental gymnastics in that one thread trying to discredit Abra and its success/achievements… It is just sooo tiring atp

I wonder if she will somehow keep us fed after MAYHEM. Long hiatus do not really work in the music industry anymore, but I also really want her to finally have time to grow her family.

Same. For me the best scenario would be to drop LG8 shortly after Grammys (or a deluxe if it has to be that) and not go on tour or do much promo for that project so she can rest and have a child in peace. And then take a couple years off for films mostly and come back ideally in like 2028/29.

I'd love for mother to realize not every album campaign needs to be a huge spectacle with promo.

Even droplets and EPs here and there would be great. She has too much hype right now, I'd even take Abracadabra (The Country Road Version) before she dips for her future family.

After Mayhem era, she's definitely earned an era of just dropping and dipping. Bonus points if it's another Magnum Opus, it could really add to her hype and brand a lot if she pulled a surprise release after Mayhem era revitalized her so much.

I'd take another album even without promo than nothing at all. She can just release next year then dip and start her family and make a huge comeback in 2028.

Yeah long hiatuses are not a thing in the 2020s music industry unless you're an old veteran who debuted before the 2000s and even they have to put projects out every now and then. Echoing what others have mentioned, she can always just drop the album with very minimal promo and no tour.

The only thing I truly want from a future album is something thematically conceptual, regardless of genre. Mayhem and Chromatica to an extent were both retrospective of her career and we've had enough of the "she's returned to her roots" narrative. I'm more interested in seeing where she's capable of taking her artistry now that she's "back in form" rather than just more peaks into her mind during her earlier years.

She has this philisophical side that I'd love to see more of, especially if she habitually reads material like Joy James and the Captive Maternal journey. Idgaf if she's been crticized before for being pretentious, I want a snobby high-art alboom.
