It's this really cool mix of 90s vocalist era power balladry but there's something so early 2000s about the melodies, esp the backing vocals. Idk if that makes sense?

With that said, we don't really have evidence especially about GL not being made for the film, so let's chill a bit with spreading false rumors. But then again, if it's truly ineligible cuz of the credits thing...

Someone pointed out that GL could be used in the movie for like a few seconds without anyone realizing so that would technically make it eligible for Oscars still, but who knows
