It's not enough for a song to be buried in the background of a scene.

Here's the rule: "There must be a clearly audible, intelligible, substantive rendition (not necessarily visually presented) of both lyric and melody, used in the body of the motion picture or as the first music cue in the end credits."

The latter part of this rule is also very important. A song doesn't qualify if it's the second song you hear in the end credits.

Any chance it plays in any moment in the film? Its such an emotional charged song I find it hard do believe they relegated it to an end credits song. It sounds like a song they'd use in the big emotional climax of the film, ugh.

There is probably a plan to promote Glamorous Life. I don't think they would be clueless enough to promote the two other songs and let this gem rot in the ending of the movie. There must be a plan, right? Right? Like, someone from her team is probably aware of how good it sounds. The lyrics and her vocals are just way too incredible.

Glamorous life is nice. To many words crammed into it to actually have a memorable hook tho similarly to HMH but it's better than HMH for sure. Y'all can stop complaining that the audience won't hear it or it can't be nominated for an Oscar because the song wouldn't do anything regardless which shouldn't take away the enjoyment of the song

If I had to pick one song as the main one to push for the public, I'd pick SOAW. I don't think GL would do much if pushed, even if it becomes a fan favorite for her vocals.

I'm half asleep but is glamorous life a chrome demo repurposed for the film?

I remember her talking about putting on her "heroes' cape" to live as Lady Gaga and stuff back in 2019/early 2020 and the lyrics kind of remind me of that period.

It's the same way I think Happy Mistake is amazing, but I never saw it being a big hit or something.

Granted, speaking generally and not directed to you — I don't think Gaga or her team had any say in this matter. She didn't do much to push it (it's not even on TTH anymore), but the movie studio definitely wanted to use it for commercials and social media.

I hope next Friday SOAW gets an actual proper single launch (not whatever the RUNWAY "release" was) and GL gets some playlist love too.

While Gaga has given us incredible ballads over the years, even the low quality version of Glamorous Life sets itself apart and sounds absolutely beautiful. It has an aching yearning and feels layered and complex. Her soft ethereal vocals from A Star is Born era are back and the melody is so strong and an earworm. It shows the versatility of her voice and how incredibly powerful and unique it is. Few artists have her range of whispery airy head notes and goosebump-inducing, powerful belts. She does not get enough recognition for how emotive and dynamic her voice is. I can't wait to hear it in its full glory and I'm mad at myself for listening but ultimately not mad because it's so damn good
