As we saw with the songs of this B'Day era, I don't think that track (or "Roc") will be released as they found home with other artists: "Roc" with Rich Harrison's girl group RichGirl, and "Body Rock" as the charting debut solo single (renamed "Bring It Home") of Silena Murrell, a former fiance of Scott Storch who was also an early member of LeToya and LaTavia's group Anjel.

Just went to see the B'Day 20 digital deluxe edition length. The spirit of Mathew Knowles still lives within lol. Still want "World Wide Woman," "If," and "A Woman Like Me" to sweeten the deal and increase the chances of another song taking off from the full album, but I'm glad she's playing the game.

I actually enjoyed it very much, BDay deserved this remastering! Esp cuz its one of her best albums.

4) Act iii is real and it's coming. I forgot she confirmed its existence in the Renaissance booklet, and the Superbowl commercial was hinting at a jazz/blues sound. Anyhow, the genre-bending concept was not exclusive to Cowboy Carter only. Rock n roll was influenced by R&B after all, hence subgenres such as psychedelic rock and blues rock emerged, with Jimi Hendrix being also a pioneer of that genre.

It seems fairly clear to me that Act III will be a blend of Rock, Funk and R&B

Bey has had Wetter Cuff It, Plastic, Desert Eagle and 2H2H on acts i and ii - there'll defo be an R&B jam on act iii

Also, I'm not expecting anything, but I dont think this BDay re-issue indicates we're 'not getting Act III anytime soon' - I do think it'll be December earliest, but she did release CC like 8 weeks after the RWT film, so she's not a stranger to back-to-backs

I still can't believe she made something like Back Up I can't stop listening to it but it is SO meant for someone else and I can't nail who. It sounds like an Ashanti or Keshia Cole song but also not really.

Not too many girls had the big, brassy vocals at the time, and it doesn't fit the Amerie or Brandy template. Also a smidge too Urban for Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson.

I can honestly see Xtina doing something like it back in her Dirrty days. She don't have the iconic/unmistakable "shape" tho lol.

But anyways, this whole performative outrage and microaggressions ppl are throwing over a 20 year old Spanish version of one of her biggest hits is so cringe. 2006 was clearly a much better time for pop than the nauseating think pieces ppl have over every little thing Beyoncé does today. I do think it's interesting that they wanted to affirm that Bey is a visual artist and pioneer. I definitely think we'll get something visuals-wise for the trilogy when all's said and done.
