when you say 'the source' do you mean your source? And you're saying your source works in parkwood and is saying this?

May 8th is 4 days after the met gala...and a thursday...I feel like that's a weird time to drop a single. I feel like it's more likely she drops the single on the Friday before the Met Gala and maybe the album announcement/pre-orders go up on May 8th to build to a 29th launch?

my info is very vague. 13 days, new era. may 7th is a thursday so i don't know what they're up to. guess we will know sooner than later.

That said, I'm a bit confused on why she'd drop several days AFTER the Met. Surely it would make more sense to drop next Friday, with momentum leading up unto the event?

Maybe single on 5.1 then album announcement/teaser on 5.7?

I hope that's not their rationale. She's literally gonna be top of everyone's mind going into that weekend. I'm tripping? Are all eyes not on Beyonce as it is?

She could just announce the single at the MET... a date, name and single cover announcing it for the following Thursday

are we back to "her met gala dress will have the single name - release date - buy on itunes" written on it now

She's not announcing anything at the MET. She'd be criticized for making the event about her when she's supposed to be there promoting their cause or whatever.
