The thing about Baby Boy is that it's an amazing song but MMI aged better and is really a classic and one of the strongest pure R&B songs in her discography.

AR is one of the few songs that gave me chills and made me cry upon first listen. It is a spectacle of a song it boasts vocal inspirations from Prince, soundscape from Bohemian Rhapsody, amazing vocal layering, the inclusion of a SITAR and a strong and resonant message. Its truly one of the greates album openers and songs she ever produced.

I just randomly thought of the pandemic Verzuz era and how if Beyonce would participate, she'd make the most obscure choices and lose

Instead of Check on It, Deja Vu, Sweet Dreams, IIWAB, MM&I, Irreplaceable or any of her actual biggest hits - we'd hear Rather Die You, 1 + 1, Flaws & All and anyt other negro-spiritual she personally loves.
