iPhone Air flops, production halted

Featured Replies

A new Nikkei Asia report claims that Apple has slashed its production orders for the iPhone Air to nearly end of production levels.

The good news for Apple is that overall production across the new iPhone range is said to be in line with its forecasts. That is, "unexpectedly robust demand" for the iPhone 17 models has compensated for weak demand for the iPhone Air.

iphone air is the prettiest of them all but it's objectively the worst option, idk who wouldn't that

The iPhone used to be so premium, but the horrible iOS has been an issue for probably 10 years now.

It's just too expensive for a single camera phone and the slim factor alone doesn't justify the cost.

iPhones completely lost their cool factor all hype is around the zflip right now

what new and innovative features does this new phone have, ms. apple?

it's skinny

ok, but why should i buy it?

it's thin

can you expand upon what we should be looking for feature-wise in this new phone?

…skinny and thin

:suburban:

Why would "it's so thin!!1!' be a selling point

Everyone is struggling financially, we're not buying phones anymore just because

I still use an iPhone 11 and have never had the urge to upgrade my phone

it's always doomed to begin with like it's just a placeholder model for the foldable phone (allegedly) and to fill the price gap between the 17 and 17 pro :deadbanana2:

This directly contradicts the iPhone Air's smashery in China tho.  I can see it not doing as well in the US.

I switch like baguettes when it comes to phones. Apple, then Xiaomi, now Samsung. Get with the times people, brand loyalty for what? A company found guilty of purposefully degrading and slowing down otherwise perfectly good phones to force you to buy more? And you're cool with that? :fan:

Cons:

Worse speaker

Worse camera

Worse battery life

More expensive

Pros:

Skinnyyyyy

The Madonna of phones :eddie:

Time to rush release the foldable phone. :coffee2: I know Apple can already produce it. They just like to take years to release their innovations, giving us a little improvement at a time so we buy new models every year.

I have an 11 too and feel the same. I'll replace it when it explodes or whatever. :rip:
