i wouldn't even mind this so much if we didn't have a whole set of other covers that had a specific theme (even if it was a little diluted)

 

it just really ruins the thematics and overall cohesion of an era which really is key to world building and truly selling the album

 

oh well, i see the locals eating this one up maybe

The rose one stays the official, to me.

 

The parachute one isn't that bad, but even the color is completely different from the others

Ultimately though it doesn't matter that much. I won't be staring at the Spotify cover whilst I'm streaming upcoming AOTY. 

What happened to music fans just accepting the art that an artist makes? You certainly don't have to like it, but who are we to think we know the artist's vision better than they do? An album's aesthetics and theme doesn't have to be predictable.

 

This is not directed at anyone in particular, this is actually for every stan base.

I can totally see this being trolling on Doja's part. She saw that unjustified reaction to the roses cover and said: "You gays want a different cover, I'll give you a different cover".

 

It looks like a scene from a music video or whatever that video with her running in a wedding dress is. It would work as a single cover.

I mean the vinyl I ordered is still the roses cover so it literally doesn't matter to me but this is frying me bc how did we go from gagging in Paris to being stuck in a tree…

There's no cohesion whatsoever between all the covers so far. What even is the theme of this album?

It's just Doja doing weird ****.

 

Remember Scarlet having gorgeous single covers/visuals and then she gave us that horrid uninspiring low budget album cover (which turned out to be a stolen image )

I thought the roses cover was ok but super basic but this is kinda worse. Looks like a different era.

she can't be surprised fans are expecting an 80s vibe or even a different color palette considering every other variant has been 80s and red or white or black color scheme now it's a yellow parachute blue sky. If she wanted to be surprising she can do as she wants but strategically I question it for selling a cohesive era

are we not allowed to criticize now? then we should also accept when an artist releases **** music cause it's the art that the artist makes

I like the concept, but I don't know something about her team is off. It's always something, if the photographer did not miss, then it's somebody else on her glam team.
