Cardi wanted this song to make a statement before her album.

 

I know she did work with Apple and Spotify...I think she'll be playlist for the album release and beyond.

I think the label is going to be selecting the remaining of the singles which is probably why she is filming the video for the next single on 8/29 with a possible 9/19 video release along with the album.

 

I'm sure IP will get promo performing it at the VMAs or something though.

 

I love how the song serves Lil kim/Foxy Brown essence with Sparkle (artist from the 90s) hood chic vibes from one of her videos from the 90s/2000.

Outside served it's purpose and at least she got to release IP...I doubt she'll make the final call on future singles. Then again she wanted Ring and slept on I like it so maybe it works out.

it still wouldn't have been huge nonetheless, it's too long and some of those verses are weak. if it was a real hit it would've been a lot more stable. but she definitely should have invested in that over this
