Literally Outside should have had a video, big push, then she could have dropped Imaginary Players with a video on album release night if anything.
 

From there choose a single based on early fan response. 

I would prefer this budget for Outside MV and playlisting promo!

It's not bad at all. It's a solid album track. It wasn't meant to be a single.

I think people haven't connected that THIS was the song that she fought with the label to put out in June. Her label went with Outside (they were right). they'd rather have a summer top 10 hit re-leading (teehee) the campaign then a braggers right song but IP would have benefited from the album announcement hype and likely reached top 40 which is probably why Cardi wanted it because she wanted to make a statement (even if we don't need her shading Sweatie, JT, Bia bia or Ice Spice).

 

At least her visuals are excellent as they show her navigating through fashion week which is leagues above her start with Fashion Nova.

 

I think she can feel happy about putting this out because the future singles are probably going to be handled by her label.

 

I like that she didn't go for the Jay z hit song and went for a sample (even though it's a sample of a sample).

Nah, If she had released Imaginary Playerz first it would have killed any chance for Outside or any other future single from the album to reach top 10

lol. Thanks Atlantic but Outside wouldn't have been a single had it been Cardis choice. I think she's glad now that Outside was a hit and released.

 

It was the right choice because it is perfect for summer and she closes the chapter on Offset which their relationship has been a hot topic.

 

This would have been helped by the album announcement hype and then anything post release will do what it's gonna do. 

 

Theres no way IP would be released post album which is probably why she fought so hard against the label for it.

 

Visuals are stunning but it seems like she took advantage of the free clothes she got for fashion week and the location for the hotel stuff and just booked a yacht for the extra scene to out our her vision on a budget…and it still looks rich so good for her.

Atlantic will probably only submit Imaginary Playerz for Music Video

 

And Outside will be submitted for Rap Song, Performance, etc. since it was the bigger hit

this will tank harder happily. when she and her team realizes people want fun cardi back it's too late. like that's why everybody loves outside.

I could see this as an album closer but honestly she should've kept this as a draft
