i wish they would turn up the bass tho... the OG JAY Z song is so chill yet bouncy :deadbanana4: but this one is kinda flat in the instrumental with the new production

Are people doing too much? I wasn't expecting this type of response from the GP. Woah.

well done for tediously sieving through  tweets to find few to fit your narrative I guess.

OT: this is great! perfect hip hop leaning, and looking forward to the many many other tracks to come to enjoy from.

Cardi is once again doing what most of the girls are afraid to do - stick to hip-hop. Why would Cardi alienate her core base by doing pop when none of her hits are pure pop? She was right to leave pop music for the end of the rollout. If she were to drop a song like Kiss Me More or Super Freaky Grandma to jump-start the rollout it would have killed the hype for the fans that pushed WAP, Up, Enough, and Outside to the top. I'm glad she's not letting her label drag her beyond what her fans love her for. Also glad she brought back her signature vocals from the IOP area instead of softening them like she did for Outside.

It's so refreshing seeing female rappers embrace the genre and not attempting to sing to catch a hit like that Last Time I Sucked You song. Lmao.

I feel like I'm the only person that didn't want another ass-shaking/party song. I wanted something a bit more serious so I'm loving this new release. :ducky:

In my opinion she should not go pop, she doesn't have the voice or the vibes to pull it off, Punteria is actually terrible, and I know her- she will not be able to find a cute middle-zone like Doja and she is just gonna make this terrible aged bubblegum pop

She needs to go back to that fast-paced trap sound that she dominated in 2018/2019 with Money, Press, Bartier Cardi, Bodak etc. We got close to it with Enough but I think that song needed a little bit more work to actually be a hit

My problem with this release is she already said what needed to be said in Like What (Freestyle), like nothing new has been explored here. It's just 2 songs where she's bragging about her money and diminishing JT's place in the fashion industry, which is fun don't get me wrong but we don't need 2 singles for this when you have EVERYTHING at stake. I don't care for ass shaking songs but where is that Be Careful or Thru Your Phone part 2 that we have been TELLING you will save your career since 2022

This is getting a lot of hate online but  I was very pleasantly surprised, and that's a gorgeous beat

I feel like it's her best song since Please Me

Woah 🤯 the GP really isn't having it what went wrong?

Is this the lead? Or was Outside the lead?

it's not looking too well at all

The song is good. Cardi is best in hiphop songs, she is actually a great rap artist and has her own vibe which makes her sound iconic. I know, people are still thirsty for that pop hit song but does it even matter in this state of her career? I rather like to have a classic rap/hiphop album over a IOP part 2. It's also much better for her career in the long run.

I LOVE this!! This is exactly what I was hoping for from her. Yes, I love a good bussy popping track, but she delivered real hip-hop. Bars were solid, she killed this:clap3:

Girl the song is trash you don't have to beat down actually good and successful songs from other artists just to make your opinion seem more valid to yourself.

It's kind of confusing they are giving this song the video treatment when Outside had the hype and was on the cusp of fully exploding all it really needed was a video and proper backing .

Imaginary Players is a good album track at best !

And you don't have to twist words like Barbs always do to try and validate your point. Kiss Me More is a wonderful song and Doja pulled it off because pop comes naturally to her. What I said is that pop does not come naturally to Cardi and it would have alienated her base to drop a song like Kiss Me More. Where exactly did I "beat down" KMM by saying Cardi was right to stick to a hip-hop single?
