Ya'll don't understand. she NEEDED to release this to get people talking. She's flexing here not only about her life but also her skills. I'm impressed

yeah it doesnt have much replay value cause its just not relatable, like we are not beefing with ice spice, JT, and BIA

and unfortunately i don't know the difference between vintage and archive

like what freestyle tanked, and even though this is wayyy better its the same idea and both just did not need to be singles

the lyrics are fun and the vibe of the song is a good fit for her, it'll help remind people that her wordplay (or whoever wrote it for her) can be a lot of fun

i looked them up and saw that but idk .. she's admitted in the past to having ghostwriters , and she's just not the strongest lyricist regardless but her songs are more for the/her vibe than they are lyrics anyway

I'm guessing they're not trying to get a hit before the album releases.

she never used ghostwriters as in like uncredited people, she writes with pardi and he's always credited if he contributed

I dunno... this is kinda the perfect starter track for an eventual Rap Album Grammy campaign.

You either go high-octane (Kendrick's "Humble" and Jay-Z's "Run This Town"), or demure and hypnotic (J. Cole / Miguel "Power Trip", TYLER "Earfquake"). She chose the latter, added a baked-in narrative with the Jay-Z connection, and is just rapping.

She might be gunning for a repeat win with this album, especially if the pop gems have been left to blow up after the album has been released.
