I see what Cardi is trying to do with this era (showing she has depth and isn't just stripper music) but it's going to backfire if they don't make a I Like It, WAP, etc. type splash with the general public. She cannot continue to skew so deep into rap.
 

We don't need a Bongos but a Ring even would be cute at this point. Just something catchy enough for the teens/tiktok gen (and doesn't need a tiktok challenge). 
 

Let's get a Paint the Town Red out next.

lyrics are fun but she's sooo off-beat

It's crazy how she let people get to her by saying she's not a lyricist. Now she is dying on the "I can rap" hill instead of making fun commercial music. 

She looks incredible in the music video

I like the video and the lyrics are fun but the song itself is just not captivating enough for me to come back to it or even remember what it sounds like a few hours from now. 

While that's not the case for every rapper, I think Cardi thrives best when her music has that pop appeal touch or funny hook somewhere in there. Pure hip/hop just doesn't work for her, her persona and her demographic anyway. And that's okay.

Cardi B can't rap. She rarely every feels in sync with the beat of her songs and it's almost always the same tone of voice.

i hope she doesnt spiral if/when this get a negative reception and underperforms. Lets keep it pushing girl, we still got 20 more tracks to work with 

i would've gagged if this was an album track but we literally got the exact same concept like just over a year ago

this is gonna tank but i hope she's got something real coming soon, or not! just wait for the album
