Mixtape? Is she getting shelved already?

  • Mixtapes are smart in the streaming era though because you don't have the contractual obligations that come with making an album but you still get to put out new music and reach people

  • Mixtapes absolutely work if the quality is good and a song goes viral    See: Doechii's Alligator Bites Never Heal, PinkPantheress' Fancy That, JT's City Cinderella

I'm glad this is a mixtape tbh. Hopefully, something pops off and the T2 era can be properly launched :ducky:

It's not smart for the artists though it's obvious something is happening behind the scenes, similar to Lizzo's situation :rip:

I feel bittersweet about this. It's giving me Nightride flashbacks. On the one hand it seems like a sign that they are going to hold her official releases hostage until she gets a hit, but on the other hand when it happened to Tinashe, Nightride ended up containing some her best work despite the lack of push from RCA. I'm gonna support this hard and I put my whole dick on that. :clap3:

I would like to see it

why releasing Bliss for a we wanna party project ??:coffee:   CERTIFIED MESS

we r so back

I can't tell if this is a good or bad thing? Either i love her and will be supporting her regardless

It makes sense. An album called We Wanna Party would seem like a strange shift from her debut.

I love mixtapes. Artists get freedom to release whatever. There's never any budget or marketing but they get to try things out and have fun without pressure for commercial success

the way all these pop girls think slapping the word "mixtape" onto their releases will be damage control for the fact they're flopping.

I hate this. Tyla should be a big ticket artist ready for a full-fledged album. This is clearly her label not being confident with going forward with a full length release due to the singles not popping off

Why are people upset with this?

Who cares if it's a mixtape or it's a studio album if the quality is there? e.g., Fancy That by Pink Pantheress

you guys are doing way too much as per usual with the "flopping" agenda you're throwing around at Tyla
