Guys… u don't understand she dont sign as an artist record deal, she sign a distribution deal with her own label. So in that case the main points were the advance and at least what power they have in radio and playlisting which they have for their bigs Artists. How labels works are not the same now than in 2010, most big artist are in distribution deal so everything come from the management team and artist vision's. Labels are just Banks and executives now. Yes I work in the music industry (management) Thing is when the metrics are good labels are more supportive of course but marketing ideas and strategy come from the management and creative artist team Proof in her MS era, everything come from her and creative team. Same for Charli xcx, chappell roan, Ariana etc. They basically do what they want for better or for worse, Even addison has a distribution deal Younger artist like tyla, tate are signed as artist so they have less freedom. But they have cause success.
