I think its a mix of both. I think it was still a nod to Spice Girls. 

The drop is prob my least fave part about this. Despite that, I like the song. So glad they're finally branching out with different producers for their singles

the song is fine i think the drop is my favorite part actually. it's very EDM and post PC Music, rather than the dated noisy stuff that Teddy and kpop usually goes for.

This is... their best song since Lovesick Girls and kinda is the BOOMBAYAH 2.0 I was hoping for.

The way they look together after their Solos. Its serving Destinys Child during Destiny Fulfilled. There's this sense of maturity and independent confidence that they now exude which they didnt have before

oh 100% for sure. The intro of the song also feels slightly like the drum intro for this one (although hard to tell on a live version). either way, very nice and sweet to see a ref to SG from the biggest girl group of today <3
