Objectively, I'd say out of all of LM.. she was blessed with the most dynamic vocal range but when her moment came, her label lined her up with either garbage songwriting talent or once successful writers now in the throws of burnout and sadly her solo voice came to the international stage saddled with that and unfortunately, first (solo) impressions count.

Also what exactly inspired the creation of this thread? Thought she had announced something since it's been 8 MONTHS since she released a single.

No it's true my mom is British and lived in South Shields when she met Perrie's mom Debbie at a dive bar.  She babysat her from ages like 7-11, then Perrie's mom married a New Zealander and they moved there. By the time they came back a few years later, my mom had already moved to the states, found my dad, then had me and my siblings lol.

if she went solo in like 2014/15 she would've been huge

Her last single was 4 months ago, it even had the ATRL banner  Nevertheless, I'm sure there are plenty of exciting things in store for us Perriewinkles in the near future

I love everything about this. Especially because she seems so at peace and calm as an adult. Haha

Sis, it's literally explained in the post above this what happened, 'She went back to the drawing board, has written more songs and feels like she has finally found her sound.' and the video confirms she's hoping to have something new out End of July/Beginning of August.
