Mabel - 'Mabel'

Featured Replies

I really like this!! Love Me Gentle remains the best track on the project for me, but the rest is also really cute.

Venus' production is amazing, reminds me of her own "We Can't Say" but on stereoids. Is It Loveeee should've been longer, i love the chill vibe. Overall this album/mixtape is more of a return to form for her, most tracks on this could've been album tracks on High Expectations or Ivy to Roses, and i think it works for its purpose. I think she wanted to go back to this sound before her next era and the mixtape serves as the bridge for that.

I still want the Female Intuition album to leak though, i think eventually it'll happen but i'm really curious to hear what we missed :celestial5:

Not them scrapping 5 of the 7 singles she released in the last year. Also, 9 songs after a 3-year wait… Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey the sadist that you are.

These are the ones I'm using or taking from this. The rest aren't bad, just a bit boring.

I really hope we get Female Intuition (album) some day. 'All Girls Go to Heaven' alone has me intrigued.

okay it wasn't as bad as I was expecting and Turn Me Up is her best song since Vitamins so we had to celebrate :clap3:

Let's talk about it—because Mabel is out here quietly executing one of the most versatile, confident, and experimental comebacks of the decade, and Reddit's silence? Deafening.

This isn't the polished radio-chasing pop Mabel we knew from "Don't Call Me Up." This is a grown, fearless artist reclaiming her sound and pushing every boundary—and honestly? She's never sounded better.

Let's go track by track, because this rollout deserves flowers, shrines, and at least one dissertation.

"Vitamins" – The reintroduction. It's sultry R&B with a soft flex energy. She's not yelling, she's gliding. The production is minimal and addictive, and her vocals are so clean you could eat off them. It's giving soft power. It's giving grown woman minding her business and looking expensive doing it.

"Look At My Body Pt. II" ft. Shygirl – Now THIS is when she said, "I'm done playing nice." The song is a glitchy, defiant celebration of self-ownership. Shygirl brings the dark, chaotic hyperpop flavor while Mabel delivers her most commanding performance to date. And the visuals? Avant-garde, fashion-forward, unapologetically feminine. She's not asking for space, she's taking it.

"Stupid Dumb" ft. Ty Dolla $ign – An R&B-pop hybrid that feels like a love letter to the early 2000s, but elevated. The chemistry between them is effortless. It's nostalgic, flirty, and one of the most replayable songs of the year. She's not chasing trends—she's refining them.

"All Over You" ft. King Promise – Whew. She really stepped into her Afrobeats bag with this one. The beat is breezy and warm, with vocals that melt into the rhythm like honey. King Promise and Mabel sound like they've been collaborating for years. It's smooth, sexy, and tailor-made for summer nights and shoulder rolls.

"Chat" – This one's understated but deadly. A slow-burning Afrobeats groove with flirty undertones. It's the musical equivalent of making eye contact across the room and knowing exactly what you're doing. Cool, calm, and in control.

"Female Intuition" – And here's the mic drop. A hyperpop-R&B empowerment anthem that sounds like divine femininity in sonic form. She's angry. She's radiant. She's self-possessed. This track feels like she cracked open her soul, dipped it in glitter, and threw it on a synth beat. Easily one of the most unique tracks she's ever released.

This isn't a "comeback" in the industry sense. It's a rebirth. She's not making music to climb a chart—she's making it to build a world. And it's one that blends cultures, genres, and raw emotion in a way most artists could never.

So Reddit, where you at? Where are the threads? The discussions? The flowers?

Because Mabel is no longer the girl trying to fit into pop. She's the woman redefining the game without asking permission.

Stream the music. Join the cult. This is her real era—and it's flawless.

Facts!

I'm shocked at how much i enjoyed this album. She finally went back to her R&B roots .This is what people want from her not that pop music crap whatever her second album was trying to be. :heart2:

the project is cute but it lacks some big sounding hit song (all over you?? why isn't here?), it feels a bit bland... can the whole female intuition album leak at this point

Edited by teenagecraze

Well, this was completely uneventful. Even the slightly better tracks are not worth revisiting imo

If you take January 19th, Lay Me Down, Venus, Turn Me Up and Love Me Gentle and add them with the Female Intuition tracks you get quite a cute little cohesive project.

Songs that are not included are better than the new songs.

venus is tht girl

she's still got it but we need better production for the album

You know what, I like this more than About Last Night :ducky: I'd say it's also better than recent efforts from someone like Tyla for example. Right On Time and Is It Love? are sublime. That being said some of the singles she dropped before this were truly great, I want an album from that...

It's a major improvement from ALN. She definitely excels when doing R&B and this seems like a return to her Ivy To Roses style. But they should have just let her add 4 more songs and release it as a full album. It seems weird to make a mixtape her self-titled. Idk why they released Jan. 19 and Benz as singles when there were like 4 other songs that would have represented the project better.

She's been saying that since the "About Last Night" era lol.
