GRWM is a collapse 

As someone who was turned off from her completely after Solar Power, this album is amazing. You can tell she dug deep to craft this. Welcome back, Lorde 

the way she sings "Everywhere I run, I'm always runnin' to ya" on Favourite Daughter is one of the catchiest melodies i've heard in a while it's SOOOO good 

Very cohesive album with no skips. She is incredible!

Just listened through twice. WOW. 

 

I don't love GRWM and If She Could See Me Now YET, but maybe they need more time. Everything else is incredible. I started laughing halfway through Favourite Daughter due to the slayage. Current Affairs is insane. Clearblue was breathtaking with the rain coming down through the trees in the forest I was in. Broken Glass a banger and I can't wait for this one live, it's going to be mental. David could be her best closer. And as always, teen hottie and I seem to be at similar points in our lives and going through similar emotional turmoils and triumphs so this is going to become my personality for the next four years until she releases again, much like the rest of her discography has during their respective releases. I'm still a Solar Power truther but could totally see Virgin taking the spot as my favourite album of hers.

Whew, this was a transcendent listen with headphones. Definitely need more time to let it fully sink in. It's greatest strength is not it's production or melodies or hooks, but the incredible songwriting. Initial ranking is 100% going to change, but this is how I'm feeling right after finishing my first :

Also note that I did not dislike a single song. Clearblue is super engaging for an interlude-type song, and I enjoy a lot of aspects of Man of the Year despite it being too short and a tad underdeveloped.
