After sitting with this for six months, I can confidently say that the title track is one of the best-written songs of all time. The story he tells, the imagery he uses, the feelings he evokes... it's stunning. That final chorus with the stained glass line... chills. If the Grammys were actually about quality, it would win SOTY in a landslide.
