If she really doesn’t plan to push another single (sorry but I desperately need Karma release with a MV and album re-launch with 3am physicals + Hits Diff as well), maybe the idea of a high profile Anti-Hero remix wouldn’t be such a bad idea. LH has done its job and is a hit, but it does not have much elsewhere to go. Anti-Hero is showing such amazing longevity in all metrics that I lowkey feel it could serve a Levitating and get a second wind on radio. A remix with someone would do just that, as well as obviously being a big help on streaming, where it’s already still doing phenomenally.

I don’t really think it will happen though but it’s just a thought. It could work. Or let’s say if Karma doesn’t get pushed then maybe she could try with Bejeweled. It has already had some TikTok love before, has a music video, and it actually tested well on radio back in October - better than AH and LH, to be exact. She could even remix it with someone that could fit the obnoxious, unserious, campy vibes… perhaps?

In reality she’s totally done with the era though and we aren’t getting anything else. Which is fine I guess because tour is gonna keep it afloat with ease, and she will probably have a rerecording to come this year and have its own moment. Not to mention, if my projections of TS11 coming just after the tour finishes in 2024 come true, it would make more sense to put more into prolonging that era with more singles since it won’t have a tour.

My life will be complete when she releases Crazier (Taylor's Version)

I need it on Spotify so I don't have to see that Hannah Montana cover when I stream the song.

I think if they do end up doing a 3am vinyl release, it'll be a limited number for RSD like folklore:lpss. They still have a good amount of stock to sell of the original records and a full release of the 3am version would effectively make all of those unsold copies redundant.

I always felt like the fanbase hypes Delicate’s impact a bit too much because we were feed breadcrumbs during that time, and Delicate was the only moment we got microwaved food.

Same goes for Lover, the song.

If those two song doesn’t get performed never again we won’t miss it. They ain’t more important to her career than, I don’t know, You Belong With Me or 22.

Yes but Taylor loves both of those songs a lot so there's no way she's not gonna continue to play them sporadically for the rest of her career

She should have never released Ready For It prior to the album. Imagine everyone’s reaction to hearing the first 3 tracks back to back by surprise.

Lead Single: Look What You Made Me Do

Promo Singles: Dancing With Our Hands Tied + Call It What You Want

2nd single: Don’t Blame Me

3rd single: Delicate

4th single: Call It What You Want

Tour Video: Ready For It

Instead she made the period from her announcing RFI 1 week after the LWYMMD video until us pressing play on The 1 for the first time the most trying time to be alive in this planet

Not y'all making fantasy reputation single plans and not including End Game, a song that she was probably contractually forced to make a single because of the features

Given that it seems unlikely for a TV to be coming this summer, there's really no reason for her to not push another single from Midnights now that Lavender Haze is about to (or has already) peaked on the radio. Karma and Bejeweled are definitely the two best options on the standard album and both make a lot of sense as singles (Karma's second verse could easily be replaced by a rapper, for instance), and I wouldn't be surprised to see either get pushed. Hits Different, with a big splashy streaming debut followed by a video would be a good era reset, but I'm not sure if that's something she would do. Alternatively, we could be in the early stages of AOTG Dark Horse-ing itself into becoming a single (it's already outpeaked all of her other non-singles to chart on pop radio), and is sitting comfortably in the top 40 with literally no push whatsoever if you think about it IKYWT TV has gotten more radio promo than AOTG :deadbanana4:.

AOTG will probably stall out sooner than later and hit a spin wall, but if Taylor/Republic lean into it and make it an official radio single (as a part of a Lover Deluxe re-release that also includes Need and those two piano songwriting memos that never got a streaming release) I could see it doing major damage. It's definitely radio-friendly as hell, and unlike Karma/Bejeweled there's very little issue of locals being exposed to it since it's so ******* hard to find on streaming, and unlike HD, there's no need to worry about when the Target exclusive contract will end.

In all fairness, I will concede that album openers aren’t her strong suit, but The 1 and Willow are both amazing. Like, the absolute best she has to offer? No, but that would be insinuating only the absolute top few tracks an amazing musician has to offer are worthy of being deemed amazing and well she has like 100+ songs I would deem amazing, at least.

IFTYE is probably the worst song of her career though, I think it’s even worse than ME! (controversial?)

RFI and WTNY serve their purpose and I personally love them (however I am very very very far up her ass and don’t truly hate that many songs from her so don’t take my opinion too seriously on this :toofunny3:) - but they’re definitely weaker as well.

Idk if I’ve ever participated in album rankings here but let me shake the table by displaying my… let’s just say eclectic taste :gaylorcat1:

I've been saying in 2017/18 that "Don't Blame Me" should've been pushed as a single and that it could've been her own "Take Me To Church" but smaller. It's nice to see it at least smash all these years later as an album track.

But it's crazy how from 2017-2020, she's always had that one album track that just undeniably screamed "single!!!"…

'reputation - "Don't Blame Me"
'Lover - "Cruel Summer"

'folklore' - "august"

Poor 'evermore' tho.

All these could've been so big with a proper push. :gaycat6:

For evermore it’ll be soon be gold rush I fear, and for a while with folklore people thought the single that got away was actually exile imo, not august. But in the last year I think it’s changed

exile is definitely the hit single that got away, not august

:cm:

I will die on the hill that if they pushed out a radio edit that cut out Justin's first verse and just started with 'oooh ooh ooh ooh' and then Taylor's verse (starting at like 1:07 to cut the song down to a more radio-friendly length) it would've been her big piano ballad moment (like Stay/WIWYM/All Of Me/half of Adele's hits) that she's never really been able to get. The geepee would've just combusted on the spot.

Yes, the recurrent streaming numbers aren't... great right now but I chalk that up to it not getting a performance on the Eras Tour nor going viral on TikTok like August/Cardigan have.

Worst song on folklore imo. Weakest lyrics and basic music. Mundane outro.

With the combination of the current craze, tour hype, coming summer season and it already doing amazing numbers daily… I have a feeling this will finally have her actually viral moment and blow up which will make Enchanted & DBM’s look like cute little trends.

personally I loved it from the first listen and was obsessed for the first 2~ years, but since then I stopped caring for it much and found it to be way too overrated among the base plus we’ve got a lot of material that drifted my attention from it, but the tour performance reignited my love for it and reminded me how much of a masterpiece it is and the huge mistake I did when I had my listen while driving… :deadbanana4:

Karma is definitely the next single. It enters the Pop Radio Spincrease chart today with 50 spins across 44 stations. It's also gaining traction on TikTok by people doing the tour choreography. Do you guys think she'll release a remix to promote it or she'd push the original?

radio weren't there fon any folkmore song (expect maybe exile ..it sounds like a really pop balland) so what would have been different for august or any song being a single or not... what it matters when you have not radio material is being on playlists and august and a lot of folkmore songs are in a lot of very followed playlists..so they are treated as singles even if they weren't.

if she was to release a karma remix for the third single... who would she even ask to jump on the remix? :skull:

like who would make sense?

I think it's Champagne Problems (359M) for Evermore. Gold Rush only has 186M.
