Why do people engage with artists they don't like . I couldn't imagine camping in a Bieber thread and keeping up with his every move... I just ignore him We must pray for the victims of Taylor Swift

So ist Zayn also featured on the song? It belongs to nobody?

Kworb commented in one thread that since credits can be kind of complicated, a song is credited to one artist, usually the first name…

which takes me back to IDWLF’s release and something I still don’t get… why wasn’t Taylor the first credit in the first place since she’s needless to say, the bigger artist.

You guys still can't realize she was halting it because of the whole trademark thing? And you just got a new album and 2 before that :rip: I don't think it's fair to expect her to do so much all of the time

It could be but the way she told about the re-recordings in 2019 made it look like she would drop them very close to each other. Folkmore wasn't planned at all and we are grateful for it. Midnights feels like she was sitting on that album for years. If she had said that every era gets it's time and it will take years to complete them no one would beg for it. She dropped Fearless after 3 months recording. She teased every era in a matter of seconds. It's kind of her fault that we want them all at once. The eras tour isn't helping either. She can take a Break If she wants after they are all released.

If these l-words are real she will drop them all at once. We know how she reacts with l-words.

I feel like a broken record bringing him up but Nathan from Every Single Album (former CEO, has met Taylor, knows people in her orbit) said the re-recordings changed a lot from their original intended schedule because Fearless TV (and Evermore for that matter) got swallowed by the dump of all the content and wasn't able to properly "kill off" the original, and he talks about the streaming data behind it in this article. Red, however, got its own moment to shine and did successfully drive down the streams of the original, for the most part.

Since we know large parts of 1989 and probably Speak Now were already ready to go in 2021, the decision was probably made after Red to pump the brakes and give more of a runway to each individual album she releases, because otherwise the whole point of the re-recordings project would be for nothing.

Besides that, I have a feeling she already had planned the tour for the end of all re-recordings and that didn’t end up happening as well.

I loved Midnights Mahyem tbh. It was genius marketing and a fun way to keep fans engaged. The rollout was good imo since I didn't care about having a pre-release lead single. I kept myself busy with other artists so the wait didn't feel that bad. My only problem remains the misleading aesthetic.

That makes Sense. We have to wait ages for all 6 albums Now.

I just want a Karma mv so bad

I still feel like she should have done Bejeweled + Karma as a double MV. The Bejeweled MV has so many sets and looks packed in 2 minutes that the entire castle party could have been its own Karma MV.

We are lucky that we got 3 videos this time and that all of them are somewhat good, though. I get the feeling that someday she will just give us lyrics videos with still pictures of her and that will be it.

If she continues to direct her videos that might be for the best, though.

Double mv would’ve been a good idea! Karma feels like a song that deserves a video. In addition, I wish the Midnights mvs were just a little better. They feel like underbaked concepts, and I really do not have the strongest love for how she directs music videos by herself.

Although many hate the song, ME! had a great music video which I think is because it was directed by both her and Dave Meyers, who together executed the vibe of the song and beginning of the era perfectly. I also really do miss her blockbuster mvs with Joseph Kahn, sue me! They were what made quite a few of her singles so impactful in the 1989-rep eras. Obviously what we get now is still very good quality don’t get me wrong, but the midnights music videos just didn’t have that expensive, big budget feel to me

I mean when all is said and done Lavender Haze will be at least a moderate hit, just like Delicate was.

I still can't fully wrap my mind around how insanely impactful the tour has been :deadbanana4:

I always felt like the fanbase hypes Delicate’s impact a bit too much because we were feed breadcrumbs during that time, and Delicate was the only moment we got microwaved food.

Same goes for Lover, the song.

If those two song doesn’t get performed never again we won’t miss it. They ain’t more important to her career than, I don’t know, You Belong With Me or 22.
