I played my 1989 CD in the car today (no money for SHAMrock) and realized that I'm not really excited for the TV at all. It's just I've played the original, instrumental, and acapella versions to death, so I imagine it'd be very hard for me to get used to new versions of the songs.

 

I also believe Taylor milked Max Martin & Shellback to the last drop during the sessions, so any vault tracks we could get would be with AntonOFF, which doesn't sound intriguing. 

"Blank Space" will probably cross a billion streams on Spotify this year, right?

My biggest fear is that she regresses artistically from folkmore. I really think she needs to avoid pop music. If she wants commercial hits, wide-appeal rock or soft rock would work.

but even when she went commercial, she still stomped everyone quality wise.

I truly don’t think we have to worry about that. I’m also on the side that doesn’t think she’ll be returning to true pop, either.

I don’t mean that corny Avril rip-off emo girl trash, I want to see her on some classic 60s/70s rock or maybe a darker grungey 90s style album. Or she could even revisit the 80s with an album of anthems inspired by that decade’s rock.
 

if she could find a sound that lends itself to the lyrical quality of her last two studio albums, but with stronger hooks and more commercial appeal and GP hit-making ability, that would be ideal.
