We're talking about the woman who was deranged enough to invite random people into her houses for PR, multiple times. Now an IG story with a few sentences is too much to ask for? Sorry but she can't have her cake and eat it too. It's totally okay for fans to feel disconnected.

close proximity with her fans is what her entire career was based on. you can’t use that as a promotion tool for more than a decade for your benefit and then stop communication all of the sudden leaving your fans hanging. imagine calling us “deranged” for holding Taylor up to the standard she and her team created lol

I’m not complaining either. I just understand why some fans are irritated. 

I agree we are very spoiled. (TS10 lead still coming this week tho)

 

It makes sense that she doesn’t interact with fans much anymore. She’s too big of a celebrity now. It was cute before when she was on Tumblr liking basic cat memes and posts from 14 year-old horse girls, but now it’s unrealistic and risky.
 

She could get away with something like the 1989 secret sessions in 2014 because it was just before her mainstream pop peak. It was already feeling weird by reputation, though, and now it’s gone completely. 
 

Too many fans across too many demographics.

She still likes things like that on tiktok occasionally and I think if she wasn't called out over BLM on tumblr and then boycott the site in response she would still be on there.

She’s nowhere near as active on TikTok as she was on Tumblr back in the day. You could tell it was really her posting/liking/interacting with fans on there.
 

Now it just feels like it’s someone on her team doing the bare minimum to keep her account active.

I can’t tell anymore whether some of y’all are literally serving mental illness with your comments or are just being dramatic and funny

I mean, it's true that Taylor's relationship with fans is a very important part of her career and these past two years it's almost like she's been avoiding doing anything. These TJATQ, TLTV and Carolinas droplets are not gonna keep anyone interested

I was watching a Patreon exclusive viewing of the Miss Americana doc from this YouTuber I like, and he hasn’t heard 1989 outside of the singles, so when it got to the part where Taylor discussed her sexual assault trial and then sang Clean at one of the reputation shows, he was in tears and saying that it was such a beautiful song highlighting the intense wave of relief that must come with former abuse victims finally getting justice. 
 

the whole time, I was mind blown because to me the song has always more so represented an addiction, or even a relationship you couldn’t quit. But seeing it from the perspective of sexual assault makes it so powerful.

I think nothing is happening on Friday cause I don’t think she would want ts10 lead to compete with easy on me and break my soul etc at the grammys. I think she will leave for Atw to do that. If new music is happening i think maybe after sept 30?...cause its when the Grammy eligibility period ends..

 

If she were money hungry she would just drop a re-release every 2 months and get the full profits from those streams. She would also go on a big world tour in stadiums, maybe she just enjoys her quiet life and wants to spend time with her family (such as her mom who literally had cancer). 

As for the merch, yes a lot of it is overpriced and money-grabbing but you literally don't have to buy it Taylor is my most played artist and I've never bought any of her stuff outside the vinyls.
