Exactly. Ironic that they are saying that when the person in their pfp has done way more cringe stuff but people that stan her love to sweep it under the rug, lol.

 

Anyways, love that people still keep up with her and that she's cultivated such a cult fanbase. Those that make good timeless music without having to drop music or content consistently have the power to wield this.

I love Lorde (check my last.fm) but I'm always sceptical when it comes to new eras. Wasn't sold on Green Light at first before I really loved it. Solar Power I really loved the single and liked the album but it didn't stay with me for long. Hold No Grudge remains one of my favourite Lorde songs though

 

YES, WWT does sound catchy and I keep singing 'MDMA in the back garden...' in my head, but I'm worried that it is a bit safe/generic  I will of course save the final judgement for when I hear the studio version, I think production will come through from what we can hear in the snippets.

 

I wish it was easier for me to jump onto hype trains lol

The videos are not as clear. The best video out there contains only 2 minutes of the track, so I'd wait. However, I do believe she chose the most radio-friendly, "safe" song for the lead single, which is fine everyone does it

The sound is not something new!
