Okay ya'll I was there and the song is literally fantastic, kinda wish she only played like maybe half of it to build up a little more hype for Friday but it's nbd. 
 

also a cool easter egg that no one is talking about is there was a guy I saw there next to Dev while he was playing wwt who was wearing a navy hat that said "Goodbye, you" in white. Exactly like the ones Lorde's been wearing. Prob a song title or lyric.

We already have quite a lot of the song here (2:04) and the intro has something in common with Royals, Yellow Flicker Beat and Green Light.

Super minimalist instrumentation for the first 20 seconds.

 

Can't wait for the fully produced track on Friday, unless she does some kind of early release (wouldn't be the first time).

Some of you are being a little harsh with the nacho reheating allegations. This is the first time on her career she's coming back to a similar previous sound, she's not even working with the same producer (thank God) and we've only heard one song in low quality from the album. If the album turns out to be Melodrama 2.0 I'll be the first to drag her but I'm sure she's going to evolve and explore new sounds as she always does.

it doesn't even sound like Melodrama

 

we know what happened with these nasty **** when she did a 180 on her sound, & now we see what's happening when she makes something upbeat again  you really can't make people happy

 

let's not act like some tastelessness in ATRL is the general consensus though, everyone in every social media i'm seeing is beyond gagging
