Solar Power (single) had a massive debut day. Just it was a snooze and not what anyone wanted from Lorde so it tanked fast, but if this is even semi commercial (which it sounds very much so) it should do great

I feel like it's worth mentioning how she dropped Solar Power and then went completely silent for like 30 days… She only started promoting the song in the following month. That definitely made the noise die a little. 

 

That 100% happened because of the rushed release amidst leaking threats. I wonder how the rollout would've been like if the song came out when it was originally intended to.

It's hard to tell, but doesn't it look like she is also holding her laptop in this photo? Or something else in her left hand. This does seem like another teaser video, unless the official MV's are candid camera- on the street style.

she's constantly included gender symbols in the teases, i dont think its entirely impossible that she's going to be playing with some of those themes throughout the album. for instance:
