  1. i agree it feels like it could be a grower. i do like the chorus quite a bit, but maybe the verses are a little drawn out. hope i like the pacing more in the album's full context.
  2. this is exactly why she's using this strategy. i really dont think it's that deep. i would say i understand thinking it's pretty close to becoming a bit gimmicky if there isn't an announcement in the next day or two. but we're pretty much at the pink that she wore at the oscars afterparty yesterday so...
  3. i meant she was snubbed from this conversation for best performance in a horror movie that won supporting actress
  4. zoe saldana snubbed. THAT was the most horrific movie ive seen by far
  5. unfortunately considering WHO was a part of it...it is a gorgeous song. i'm sure the 2016 trend helped this one out.
  6. ophelia feels like a culmination of many of the themes of her career pre-folklore. sonically, it's great pop, while in concept brings back the shakespeare allegory from love story. it's definitely her best opener since willow in my mind.
  7. at the end of the day, it's not about one person. the dems as a party have a problematic strategy. they continue to placate extreme conservatism. as if giving in to MAGA rhetoric will bring those voters to their side. meanwhile, their actual base is not being spoken to at all. it's not about kamala or any other dem as politicians individually too much anymore. i personally want to see whether they take the 2024 loss as a reason to go further right. THAT is the recipe for disaster.
  8. correct message but incorrect messenger. i doubt this is actually taylor shade though, and is more just her pov considering her style whether you like it or not. but atrl can't help ourselves can we lots of swifties are about to block her unironically
  9. ophelia might be one of her best songs period. it's got so much energy and passion that I've missed from her at times. if you haven't played it on a good speaker or heard it in a larger room, you're missing out. 'you wrap around me like a chain, a crown, a vine' brb going to listen to ivy
  10. gagged tbh. great performance, and lovely trans rights moment at the end as well.
  11. what a moment. twonderful pop, and the reaction online has been absolutely phenomenal. extremely deserved. probably the only person they could have ever brought back that would get me to keep an eye on this again.
  12. whenever i see pitchfork ratings grouped like this it always looks bad LMAO. its much less about mbf getting 7.9, i think that's a pretty fair score, but some of those under it...damn. subjectivity!
  13. why are y'all setting sabrina up like this... mbf is growing on me quite a bit but evermore is a masterpiece
