This isnt Dua Lipa shade at all, I'm just being completely honest here - when Dua said Radical Optimism was sonically psychedelic, and Kevin Parker was behind the album, I was hyped. It didnt deliver. But what Miley just delivered with Somthing Beautiful is EXACTLY what I would expect from a pop star serving "psychedelic" production.

Considering no radio deal, she did really good! All her past lead singles with radio deals (iHeartRadio playing at the top of every hour on Friday) debuted with about 1M in the US

Tbh Easy Lover is one of my least favorite songs on the album but idk what song they should've pushed instead 

The songs they released were the perfect single choices. They are accessible and radio friendly. I don't think anything else from the album stands a chance unless it goes viral all of the sudden. 

It's fine y'all this album is just breaking even with Flowers' success because Columbia probably expected it to do half as well on the charts than it actually did so this new floppery just brings us back to baseline Miley

The Spotify #s are not good.

MIley kinda the only artist that could do these numbers but still sell out a stadium tour if she announced one...

This album would have made so much more noise if she didn't do interviews talking about it and just released it all at once without any indications of the sound...imagine the collapse hearing prelude and SB title track 

It is kinda crazy how her career this decade is mirroring the 2010s success wise...

exactly!! this traditional release was completely the wrong move....

walk of fame and gold burning sun are easily the top 2 tracks of her career.

Oh she's never promoting her music again after this record 

just listened through for the first time and it wasn't clicking w me, I couldn't figure out why until I got to Reborn. it's that she seriously lacks melodies in these songs and it makes them all blend together and i can't remember a single thing about any of the individual songs. there's also a lot of shouting into the mic and it's just like… not necessary. id rather have a nice melody  i do hope her numbers improve tho
