Miley Cyrus - 'Something Beautiful'

Can we all agree that everything from Interlude 1 is what we needed from her as Plastic Hearts true successor? The first few tracks feel more like GP service. The album is nice ride but from Interlude 1 to the end is truly what I love from Miley.

I was expecting her previous album (couldn't even finish listening to it after being so dissapointed by it) to keep continueing showing her growth, and the second half of the album did that! This is shaping up to be my AOTY just like Plastic Hearts was :clap3:

Miley might be my favorite artist at the moment tbh. She's so versatile, her personality is to die for, she's always VERY authentic and none of that pretentious **** that other female popstars do, and

First Miley album I listen from end to end…to end…to end… basically on loop.
I LOVE THIS

Honestly, I think its a VERY solid project for Miley that shows her growth. At times, it feels like the natural progression of PH because of the 80s references. You can definitely hear Fleetwood Macs/Stevie Nicks' influence and elements of campiness. I also like the flow of the album. I havent really paid attention to the lyrics this far, but sonically speaking, I think its her best album to date.

And album meaning - a coherent body of work with a clear artistic vision.

It feels like Miley coming into her own.

It's been a while since a song made me dance like this. I wish to hear Walk of Fame in the club :jonny5:

How can you listen to the album as Miley and the executives and not release Golden Burning Sun as the lead?

The undisputed highlight of the album! A phenomenal song

we just LOVE a Sagittarius queen doing whatever the **** she wants

no wait it's growing

give me love, easy lover, walk of fame, every girl you've ever loved, golden burning sun oh godley

This! This! This!

Still mind-blown by how ******* good this is....... my favorite artist EVER

Walk of Fame is so damn incredible

I love Miley so much. She's probably my second favorite artist overall, and I really adore her recent projects. Plastic Heart and ESV were fantastic to me, it made me love her even more, she's super-talented and fun.

Though this album is not for me unfortunately. I appreciate that she's not scared of trying different things but this is my least favorite of her studio albums by far. I only enjoyed End Of The World and Easy Lover which were cute and a little more commercial and melodic to me.

I know I'll love her future projects more, she very rarely disappoints me, this one isn't my cup of tea but she'll slay me for sure, she has it in her.

I think she might have topped Plastic Hearts with this. :jonny: Honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good based on the first few tracks she released.

Up 4 points to 72 on MC :bam: can she rise to 80? I think she can! :ryan3:

In a perfect world, the singles would have been this way:

1. Golden Burning Sun

2. Walk of Fame

3. End of the World

4. Reborn

:jonny:

My top 5:

1. Golden Burning Sun

2. Pretend You're God

3. Reborn

4. Something Beautiful

5. End of the World

Golden Burning Sun is her best song ever. No doubt about it. It's a really solid album that shows her maturity as an artist. I didn't enjoy Walk of Fame as much as you all. It gives me RuPaul vibes (please don't kill me).

My personal top 5 right now:

Every Girl You've Ever Loved

Walk of Fame

Something Beautiful

More to Lose

Golden Burning Sun

:smitten:

I'm a casual fan but I wasn't overly impressed on my first listen. Definitely some highlights but I couldn't get into it as a whole. I'm hoping it clicks after a few more listens because I loved PH and liked ESV more than most people.

Fantano aka theneedledrop has included the three prerelease tracks on his best tracks of the week when they came out and last night reacted to GBS, WOF and Easy Lover and liked them all :duca:
