Just listened for the first time all the way through - it's an interesting project. I didn't LOVE it on first listen but I don't think this is meant to be understood on the first go around

I absolutely adored the singles, but I do think the second half is a bit underwhelming. There's too much of a bait and switch at the beginning and I wish she had stayed in an experimental place but she played it way too generic in the last few tracks. 
 

still love it overall though 

the way this album just keeps growing and revealing itself with multiple listens

Golden Burning Sun, Walk of Fame, Pretend You're God are my favesss but it keeps getting better ugh.

 

 

 

This is 100% probably one of the biggest underperformance in recent times for a huge pop star, one week in the billboard 100 is absolutely tragic and sad to see.

ugh I'm honestly so bummed about how this is doing. like… she really gave us her heart and soul with this one. You could just feel how much it meant to her with the film, the visuals, the interviews, her whole vibe during promo, she was fully in it. She cared so much and it breaks my heart that it's not getting the love it deserves and I hate to say it but... I think the single choices kinda messed with the momentum. I get that she wanted to set the scene and build a narrative, but still... Maybe More To would've hit different right out the gate, instead of being the 3rd one. Anyway. I just wanted her to have this big moment because the album is honestly beautiful. she gave us something raw and real, and it deserved better.

Yeah I'm kinda bummed too. But what can ya do. 

This charting so poorly doesn't change the fact that it's Miley's most interesting and heartfelt album and easily my favorite from her.  The album is very left of center so I'm not at all surprised that it's flopping. Just enjoy the music ya'll!

It's an amazing album to me! I am still listending as well and I really don't know why it is rejected the way it is. Absolutely insane.
