Miley might be my favorite artist at the moment tbh. She's so versatile, her personality is to die for, she's always VERY authentic and none of that pretentious **** that other female popstars do, and

Seeing the film on a big screen was amazing, should be the standard viewing experience for these visuals :ryan3:

finally i was able to watch this.

it's sad to see her say 'Plastic Hearts didn't turn out to be the album that she wanted' cause as a listener, i thought it was perfect as it is. :michael: Prisoner was trash and stuck out like a sore thumb on the record. besides that song, it was pretty much skipless & had a great vision too. it's also sad she didn't have that much control over how the releases/rollouts went down (especially with Something Beautiful - she said she actually wanted the album and the film to be released altogether but the label didn't allow.)

thankfully she gave East Northumberland High, The Driveway, Scars, Stay, Take Me Along, Dead Petz & Never Be Me (possibly my fave Miley song ever) the flowers that they deserve :clap3:her saying 'both her and the co-writer/producer of YN hated Thinkin'' tho- :skull:

overall it was a very good interview but i personally would love an actual deep dive interview on her albums in a way more detailed way :michael: this was just a tad bit deeper than the surface.

Saw the film last night and Miley showed up. I loved the moments when she gave true pop star, it was fun

I'm confused about the film.... Is is just a bunch of set-based music videos strung together? Thats the impression I get from the clips I've seen. I was hoping for something more... cinematic and bold since this is a theater release.

Seeing in theaters last night was EVERYTHING 🙌🏻🙌🏻

i let the album rest for a few days and just came back for another full listen. there's truly no doubt that this is her best album by far and one of my absolute favorites this year.

the feelings that the songs from golden burning sun on give me, i feel truly emotional :chick3:

The album nowhere to be found at HDD final prediction of the Top 50 :cries:

Her team needs to do something, the album is too good for this flop

Couldn't care less about this flopping. It's still a 10/10.

Yeah from what I've seen (and the music videos we already have) it Feels like she was selling it on more than what it actually is. Love that she did a video for each song but as far as I can tell there's no story or through line with each video. Maybe I'm wrong tho, we shall see when I eventually get to watch it

Who knew that giving two creative people creative control over their music would create another masterpiece like Dead Petz but more sensual. This album is a total high production (music wise). Also don't understand why she put the Give Me Love music video over credits... gurl literally made it impossible to see when it's coming to digital. I hope they just release it seperate and they give an option to have each music video seperate cause I love this movie so much but it uh... ain't a movie :skull: It was 13 high quality music videos (well...except Pretend You're God, but we won't talk about that).

They actually had to rush production and didn't have a budget to make each of the flashing things you see in the videos. She only did it up to Every Girl You Ever Loved (though that was a hard title to make so maybe that's why. There was quite some applause after the movie but like... it wasn't much :bibliahh:I should've seen it in a full crowd in the dead center cause they use the Dolby atmos mix for the movie and it sounds incredible.......... LIKE SO INCREDIBLE. Also the movie was made for Dolby Vision and ATMOS but they couldn't afford to put it out on a Dolby showing? They would've made much more money charging like $25.00 for a showing. I would've ate that **** up.

Agreed. Art not the charts and Golden Burning Sun is SOTY :jonnycat:

end of the world should have been a smash… when I catch her team!

There's not, don't worry but they are well... most of them (one is ironically not but like it also still is...) and it rhymes with Cock of Fame :cm: . The budget made it bad for her because they gave her enough for a lot of archival stuff but failed to achieve high quality music videos. I cannot stress this enough, she looks incredible. Happy, healthy and you even get a peek of Old Miley :sosad: The one we alll grew up with who's happy and healthy. There's a spark in here still and it's not dying out.

WHAT. Lemme listen now :jonny5:

I can't believe this album is this good. It's beyond perfect and some songs clear entire discographies of most popular artists nowadays. Genius artistry at its best. I hope she won't be discouraged by the reception and lack of any hits, and will continue in this experimental direction.

I loved most of Plastic Hearts, but this is just otherworldly. I can't remember the last time music evoked so much emotions in me. Pretend You're God is a true masterpiece, and so are most of the songs on here, to be honest.

"Walk of Fame" truly hits the spot in so many ways few songs can do. Like wwheeewwww!! This album as a whole really is a masterpiece; hopefully she at least gets some Grammy nominations next year.

I've been obsessed with this album, it's absolutely one of her best (if not her best).  I hate that it isn't doing well, it deserves so much better :jonny:
